THE STORY-TELLER
Firstly, I´d like to tell you that it’s the first time that I have read a story in English and it has been a satisfactory experience.
The story talks about three children who were travelling on a train and their aunt told them a story because they were bothering another man who was a bachelor and was travelling with them. The problem was that the children were bored with their aunt’s story because all the things that happened in the story were good.
The man decided to tell them another story but the end of it was horrible!.
Finally the children were happy but their aunt thought that it wasn’t a suitable story for the children.
MY MARK: 4
In my opinion the story is predictable and the bachelor’s story is tragic. When the man began to talk about the wolf I supposed that Bertha was going to die.
It has been entertaining and I’ve had a good time reading it.
Explain why the children liked the bachelor’s story better than their aunt’s story:
I think that they liked the bachelor’s story because it was more intense and unexpected and they couldn’t guess the end.
Probably the children were fed up with listening to the same happy stories.
