Without questions
Some kinds of research do not operate from questions - at least ostensibly so. Research at the arts and humanities end of the spectrum in education and social science research tends to operate neither within the scientific paradigm nor from the kind of paradigm we have been assuming throughout most of this book, i.e. a field of enquiry driven by questions. Rather, it is closer in convention to the creation of 'monographs' or book-length works: research that will translate easily into book-form because it is predicated on that model.
