Further from the Global Liability that I submitted last week, which is more interesting that the THB100 compensation stated on clause 11.5 but it doesn't mean that Crown shall not take any responsibilities as you asked me over the phone this morning.
Clause 11.5 is the standard clause every offsite storage vendors use 'outside U.S.' same practice for shipping, airlines, post office, etc. We are not insurance broker so this is what we do offer.
In the U.S. you can insure for the commercial value of documents, in the rest of the world you cannot.
Terrorism, war, natural disasters are all things that get excluded in insurance policies though we have policies on how we handle these things but insurance policies exclude these things. I hope your U.S. legal team would understand why I suggested we'd better have more faith on the Global Liability instead. (By the way, our local facility insurance we did manage our broker to cover for flooding, this is a bit rare but we got it.)
However, 'Crown will always use all reasonable endeavours to protect and secure the Documents and/or Materials stored by it.' This means that we have ‘all procedures’ to protect your media data. We also have no access to your data stored and travelled in the metal suitcase. The Suitcase is tailored made for this specific purposed, with key combination and additional padlock that also allowed client to use the serialized seals to lock.
In this archiving project, Allegro will track the seal & cut the seal yourself upon Crown’s arrival. If you are not confident using our security seals, you might obtain own locks or seals that is also doable.
The metal case came with high density foam, waterproof & shock absorbing.
I wished you rest assured and experience the Crown’s service like other 12,000 corporates around the world entrusted Crown since 1965. We have Quality Control Program with the Quality Survey and Performance Review on yearly basis. Any additional comments you might suggested upon the annum review for us to delight you more.
Thank you and have a pleasant day.
