As can be seen from the findings of the study, many students used the Internet for searching information, communication and building online communities during free time. In 2001, Jantima Jinwuth studied “A Study of the Use of the Internet by Upper Secondary Level (Mattayom 4) Thai Students who are High Achievers in English Language” to investigate the use of the Internet by Thai students identified by the Office of the National Education Commission, Thailand as high achievers in English. The findings reveal that the entire samples agreed that using the Internet is useful for their lives and study, especially in foreign language education. Thus, the Internet use has been proven useful for the students’ English studies. It could be recommended that high-school students should be encouraged to spend time usefully on the Internet, which is a rich and modern resource of information and can assist students in their English learning (Sperling, 1998.). Students should be enforced and guided in their Internet use in order to enhance their learning, as well as to establish their risk free environment for the Internet use. Furthermore, high-school students should be able to access the English language information on any subjects and learn it through the Internet. They should be encouraged to communicate with English-speaking people who can help and improve their English communication, and share interests.
