Summary:
The works addressed in this subsection focuson various use-cases of D2D communication. The authorsin [33] and [32] use clustering and game theory to boostthe throughput performance as well as energy efficiency andfairness. For the first time, they designed a detailed protocolfor outband D2D communications in [34]. The work in [12],[13], [94] and [96] aim to improve the performance of contentdistribution. The methods proposed in [12], [13] are simple,while that of [94] is more complex. The performance ofboth methods is evaluated to be good. In addition to contentdistribution, the authors in [96] also consider user mobility anddeadline-based content, for which they provide comprehensiveevaluations under a realistic simulation setup including real-time video transmission.
