and 0.888 for feeding rate (Fig. 7). In addition to these high relations,
90% of meal size, 95% of meal duration, 94% of the number
of meals per day and 89% of feeding rate were correctly monitored
using sound analysis.
Additionally, feed intake was recorded by a weighing system
and the data were linked to the results of the sound algorithm.
The correlation between recorded sound and feed intake over time
can be seen in Fig. 8.
