Dear Samitivej Thonburi Hospital,
Another dreadful night in the hospital with doctors and nurses who don't seem to know what they're doing and don't seem to care.
I went there at 1230 a.m. with terrible pain in my stomach and back. The doctor said he would give me pain medication, take x-rays, a urine test, and admit me. The nurse shows me a list of I think 16 different room types and 16 different prices. I ask what is the difference between them. She laughs and says Yes. She then says she has a room in ICU I ask how much is it. She laughs even louder and says Yes.
The doctor comes back and says he thinks it's a kidney stone and repeats that they want to admit me. They give me two pain medicine injections. A woman comes in and has me sign a paper to admit me.
Then to my surprise they wheel me to the cashier to pay and go home. No x-ray no urine test. No admittance.
The cashier says I need to pay 2600 baht. After I pay (not before) she gives me the bill. They've charged me with many different things including IV fluid. The doctor walks by and I ask him if he gave me IV fluid. No he says. Then why did you charge me? Oh I don't know.
No treatment. No accurate diagnosis. No. X-ray.
Only a laughing nurse and a doctor who charges me for things that never happened.
What am I supposed to do???
