Our preliminary study shows
promise and VC could be an alternative thera-
peutic target with low cost for the treatment of
tobacco dependence. VC was generally well
tolerated. Unpleasant taste and smell of cigarette
smoke and craving reduction were the most
common report for VC. While our CAR and PAR
results did not reach statistical significance due to
the relatively small number of subjects, we hope
that VC may be of potential use for smoking
cessation and stimulate interest in future
smoking cessation research.
