3.5. Secondary Analysis
We conducted additional analysis of 44 women who actually attended the classes twice or more and 47 women who completed the post-test evaluation in the control group. ANCOVA analyses identified that the 44 women in the exercise intervention group showed ignificantly greater improvements than the 47 women in the control group for two of the eight subscales within the SF-36v2: the Physical Functioning (PF) domain (p = 0.022); and the Vitality (VT) domain (p = 0.008). MCS summary score and other subscales showed no signi- ficant differences due to exercise intervention. A sig- nificant increase in self-esteem level (RSES) was seen in the 44 women in the exercise intervention group com- pared to controls (p = 0.037). No discrepancy was iden- tified between these results and the ITT analysis of out- come measurements.
