CONCLUSION
Earlier, we developed a vibration watch for visually impaired
people using a Japanese mobile phone. In this paper
we reported on an adaptation using a smart phone which is
being used by an increasing proportion of people world-wide.
We devised operations which are more suitable for a smart
phone in order to check the time and we installed a smart
phone version of the application program for the vibration
watch. Tests of time recognition by smart phone resulted in
a high success rate. We plan to upload the vibration watch
application program to Google Play and hope that many users
will download and use it.
