The intent of Pega 7 Fundamentals
In this course, we’ll learn how the Pega platform is used to define the application process, how case management is used to follow a work item as it travels from submission to resolution and about tools that help us Directly Capture Objectives (DCO) to record and organize as we build our solution.
Students will use the Pega 7 Designer Studio to define a simple case type, add stages to contain process groupings and add steps to perform tasks associated with the business case. We’ll talk about how data object types are used to define the data that is used by the application, and we’ll create UIs to interact with users.
Students can build upon this foundation by attending more advanced and/or specialized training courses.
This course is for decision makers who are responsible for determining more efficient ways to address complex business needs. To succeed in this course, students should have:
Knowledge of the business processes, best practices, and policies in use at their company.
Some application development experience.
And familiarity with one or more project methodologies, such as Scrum, RUP, or Waterfall.
Upon completion of Pega 7 Fundamentals, students should understand how the Pega platform and DCO help to create more efficient BPM and case management applications. They should be able to describe and use basic Pega Designer Studio features to create a business case type, add stages and steps, define data object types and create data properties. Students should also be able to discuss how features of the Pega 7 platform can be used to manage data, work, integration with other systems and information such as documentation and reports.
