Addition of cocopeat in starch-based foam increased foam thickness (1.796–1.909 mm) but reduced its density (0.965–0.888 g/cm3). Compared to styrofoam, addition of cocopeat produced moderate value of modulus elasticity and high value of modulus of rupture. The increasing of the cocopeat content increased the water adsorption capacity and biodegradability. Cassava starch-based foam added with cocopeat fiber can only be applied to packaging of low moisture agricultural products because of its moisture sensitivity.
