The researcher claimed that a fluidized bed dryer offers promising
alternative to be used for rapid pre-drying of paddy. Feasibility of paddy drying by fluidization
technique also was conducted by Soponronnarit and Prachayawarakom (1994), who reported
the drying capacity of a dryer increased with specific air flow rate and drying air temperature,
while energy consumption was reduced when specific air flow rate was decreased or fraction
of recycled air was increased
