s a preliminary effort, this study confirms the complexity of cross-cultural understanding of leadership processes. Two decades ago Bridges (1977) claimed that leadership entails getting results through other people. Thailand has the unique culture about the educational change but the important problem is the collectivism and power distance. In particular, other southeast Asian nations too. So we have to make the leadership for changing to the better education system. We have to do so by illuminating the unquestioned assumptions of Western theories of knowing and doing, thereby expanding our conceptions of school leadership and improvement.
