The natural drying characteristics for the raw products B22, B31
and C11 were obtained, along with their dewatered products by
centrifuging (labeled with an additional ‘‘d’’ character), as shown
in Fig. 7. The moisture contents of the samples were converted to normalized moisture content, i.e., the ratio of the apparent moisture
content to initial moisture content of the sample. It can be
seen that higher the processing temperature and longer the holding
period, higher is the natural drying rate of the product and
the lower is the final moisture content. The dewatered products
lost moisture more rapidly, indicating better drying performance
than the raw products.
