The participants performed two countermovement jumps
with arm swing for maximal height, measured with
a vertical jump station (EPIC Athletic Performance, Inc.,
Colorado Springs, CO). The jump station device was first
zeroed by having the participant’s dominant arm fully
extended with the palm of their hand facing the device and
their middle finger touching the bottom of the color reach
marker corresponding to a range of jump heights (Fig. 1).
Once zeroed, the vertical jump was performed with an
arm-swing countermovement and swatting the vanes at the
peak of their jump
