the paddy to be used for testing shall be of single rice variety and one of the varieties recommended , if any, by the manufacturer of the rice mill. the quantity shall be at least three times the total mount needed to feed the mill continuously during the three trials for each set of adjustments with the mill operated at the maximum rated capacity. the paddy shall have been dried to a uniform moisture content of 14% + 1%, wet basis and must not have more than 5% cracked grains caused by drying , undue exposure to unfavourable environment or other pre-milling handing . otherwise, testing shall not be undertaken with this test material . determination of the above requirements shall be based on laboratory analysis with due attention to correct sampling procedure
