You sighed, kneeling down on the floor and pushing the dark hair out of his eyes. “Well, I’ve seen you look worse.” You told him, smiling at the look he shot you.
Helping him sit up against the tub, you leaned back and observed his face, his breathing was a little shallow and there were small beads of sweat and the top of his forehead.
Gently you placed the back of your hand on his forehead, taking of note of how warm it was. You then moved your hand from his forehead to his cheek, trying to get him to calm down.
“It’s alright, darling. I’ll have you fixed up in no time.” You told him quietly, smiling whenever he closed his eyes and leaned his cheek into your hand.
You managed to get his fever under control, and had the spare time to clean up the bathroom before he woke up again.
“Are you feeling better?” You asked him, holding out a glass of water for him.
He only nodded, wrapped his one around yours so he could lift the water to his lips. “What’d you do?”
“Just a few small charms to help with the fever, and I had to use a few spells to get you to fall alseep so your breathing would calm down a little.” You said, checking his forehead one more time.
“How long was I out for?” He said, closing his eyes and looking up at you.
“I’d say about an hour or two. Don’t worry though, you only drooled a little bit.” You said with a smile, tapping the side of his mouth.
Percival pushed your hand away, but you could see the smile on his face before he mumbled something, too quiet for you to hear.
“Sorry?” You asked him, standing up so you could put away your medical supplies.
“I said that I loved you.” He told you, although it still was pretty hushed, but you definitely heard it.
