K. Joe's resignation came as a result of his bonus (or lack of thereof) and was maybe a bit of a rushed decision on his behalf.
His resignation has not been signed off on by neither Chef or myself as we recommended that he slept on the decision and rethink it when he was a bit more objective.
In my opinion (with the short time I've worked with him at breakfast), he has not shown that he can motivate and develop a team in the outlet he is assigned to. Given his experience and age, I have a hard time seeing him to alter that drastically if we get him back to Eve.
That being said, if we opt to hire a new manager for Eve, it is important for me that we hire one with a proven track record of managing a team as well as having fine dining experience. People like this are hard to come by, and would most likely cost us the same as K. Joe is currently.
I think that our best option is to see which applicants we are getting for the position before making a final decision about K. Joe.
If we do not receive applicants that's deemed better than K. Joe is currently doing for us, and we decide to move him back to Eve, he will need very clear objectives, close supervision from Chef and myself and a strict time line for when to achieve his different objectives.
I will suggest that we give it 10 days, and see who we are getting as applicants and thereafter give K. Joe a response to his resignation.
I realize that we are letting him dangle a bit by this, but we also need to show that it has consequences for staff to hand in a resignation for thereafter to take it back.

This is only my consumption whether he works at breakfast or at Elefin. I do not see him on the floor all the time. There are moment wonder where he is. He gets paid the most at F & B service and I do not see his contribution to the outlet. He has been at Hansar long time and can he be the one can be right hand man to Rasmus. Or you rather find someone has more energy to help F & B income.
