A Tampa Bay cat named Bart showed its incredible will to live when it was incorrectly presumed dead and buried, but somehow dug its way out of its own grave.
Tampa Bay's Fox 13 reports that after Bart was struck by a hit-and-run car he was buried by his owner, who said he was sure the cat was dead.

Days later, however, Bart reappeared near his house, battered -- with a broken jaw and a non-functioning left eye -- but alive.
Tampa Bay Humane Society staff surmise that after the tough critter regained consciousness and clawed its way out of the earth, it probably laid low and hid for a few days.
