I understand that you had been dealing with HGA architects from the USA in respect to the above mentioned project back in 2013 and I believe we met briefly at a façade meeting on one occasion. FYI, the project was put on hold from December 2013 and has subsequently resurrected due to EIA approval being received late January this year and D103I will be continuing the project delivery through BMA Permit/Tender and For Construction Documentation. As Bumrungrad are not engaging a façade consultant, so D103I will be expected to develop the design as necessary to a level suitable for tendering purposes.
D103I will be undertaking the bulk of documentation but will be seeking a limited scope from a facade consultant that would include relevant engineering design advice on applicable façade systems (already signed off by the Hospital), examples of the applicable façade system installation details and a performance specification of systems and materials suitable for the Tender package. We understand that the Building Contractor’s supplier would have to provide detail shop drawings etc but you may wish to advise further on this point.
We have attached a façade design package that may refresh your memory in relation to the project so please review.
In terms of project program, one is being drafted currently but we expect that BMA Permit drawings will be submitted somewhere around end of April with Tender packages completed by end August 2015.
We would be interested in seeing where you left off with HGA architects, so please confirm your interest in this project and advise if you would prefer to come in to discuss further.
