Dear Mr. Apiwat Jirawattanaphol,
Thank you very much for applying to the PNST 2015 fellowship.
Today, we had the final selection committee at Kyutech.
You were selected as a back-up candidate.
The back-up means if any one of the final candidates declines the offer, you will be given the fellowship. Please understand the situation.
If you are ultimately selected as a final candidate it may be at the last minute with limited time to send all required documents to MEXT.
Therefore, I strongly encourage you to prepare hardcopies of the following official documents to be ready to send to Japan.
1. 01. Nomination form (original)
(Must have signature of head of nominating organization and official seal of nominating organization.)
2. 03. APPLICATION FOR JAPANESE GOVERNMENT (MONBUKAGAKUSHO: MEXT) SCHOLARSHIP (original)
(The original must be printed in DOUBLE-FACE and have your signature.)
3. 04. Field of Study and Study Program (original, printed in DOUBLE-FACE)
4. 05.Diploma certificates (notarized copy is acceptable)
5. 06. Academic Transcript (notarized copy is acceptable)
6. 07.Official Explanation of Transcript (if it is attached to your transcript you do not need to send separately)
7. 08.TOEFL or TOEIC score. If you have not taken one yet please take one after the final announcement.
8. Three passport-style photos of you (4.5 × 3.5 cm showing the upper body, head/front without cap or hat, and taken within the last 6 months) with your name and nationality written on the backside of the photos.
We will inform you the final result by March 9.
I appreciate your patience.
In the meantime, Kyutech is now working with KMUTNB to formulate a double degree program
to start as early as October 2015. You may have heard this from Prof. Petch Jearanaisilawong.
There is a chance that you can apply to Kyutech through the double degree program.
We will let you know the outcome soon.
Best regards,
Mengu Cho
