We introduce a combinatorial tool, spotted tilings, to provide a graphic representation of n-colored composition. A part x corresponds to a 1*k rectangle with a spot in position i. Spotted tilings for the n-color composition of 3 are shown in figure 2. Notice that the bar and spots alternate, since there is one spot per part.
