In the past, the length of the seasonal migrations of African elephants reached 300 km. Almost all the migrations of elephants followed the general pattern: the beginning of the rainy season - from the standing water in the dry season - back. shorter migrations were made between sources of food and water. Animals were of the usual routes, leaving well-marked trails trampled. Currently, the migrations of African elephants are limited due to increased human activity, and the concentration of the main herd of elephants in protected areas.
