MCDU RADIO PAGE ORGANIZATION
MCDU Radio control data is organized on pages at three levels: Main
RADIO pages, Detailed Radio pages and Memory pages.
The radio control function is accessed by pushing the RADIO function button
on the MCDU. This displays the RADIO 1/2 page which is arranged in five
areas.
The top four areas show ACTIVE and PRESET frequencies for COM1,
COM2, NAV1 and NAV2 radios. The bottom area shows Transponder mode
control prompts, ACTIVE code and Ident function control.
Using the NEXT or PREV keys permit scrolling through the main RADIO
pages 1/2 and 2/2.
RADIO 2/2 page is arranged in six areas to show ACTIVE and PRESET
frequencies for ADF and any other optional PRIMUS EPIC® radio that might
be installed, such as the second ADF (shown as ADF1), HF, V/UHF,
COM/NAV etc.
The cursor and the associated page indicator arrow prompt can be moved
on any preset frequency line or on the transponder code line by pressing the
associate LSK.
Pressing the LSK adjacent to the cursor selects the relevant radio detail
page which permits full control of the individual radio: frequency tuning,
access to memorized frequencies, and mode of operation.
From the detailed radio page, prompts permit returning to the main radio
page and access to the memory pages for that radio.
Memory pages permit the loading of 12 scrollable memories with a name
and a frequency for each radio.
Each MCDU can store different stations in memory for the same radio,
making it a total of 24 memories available for each radio.
