Hi team. We have a fairly big meeting tonight to discuss guide rates, roles and responsibilities and expectations around various rates, and the dhiftplanning process. It would be amazing if we had another month to meet and prepare but it is what it is and my hope is that today we can take some steps to get clarity among the org. The meeting should
Be expanded and provide an opportunity to explain, listen and understand. I will
Also be open to suggestions and willing to make changes. I plan on arriving st cmrca around 1400 and would appreciate sitting down with all of you before the meeting to get clear on our processes and some of the challenges. I am currently working on a PowerPoint for tonight to help clarify things but will definitely need some support with what you have been working on and clarifying an agenda of what we need to present to the team.
My initial thoughts include:
Guide levels:
Assistant, apprentice, guide
Roles:
Guiding roles, gp roles, maintenance, prep etc
Pay system:
Rates for different courses, roles, work units, requests, availability.
Again I apologize for the last minute nature. Those of you who have participated in a triad know the practice "it is what it is," which for me recognizes that we would like a different situation than we have but allows us to move ahead with what we have at the moment.
For me I'm sure I'll learn a lot today and that keeps me expanded. Looking forward to this step that will help us get to the next stage of our progression as an org. Thanks for your support and see you today.
