This paperpresentsareductionofartificial beecolonyalgorithmforglobaloptimization.Artificial bee
colonyalgorithmisanoptimizationtechniquewhichreferstothebehaviorofhoneybeeswarms,anda
multi-point searchapproachwhich finds abestsolutionusingmultiplebees.Foravoidinglocalminima,
a numberofbeesareinitiallypreparedandtheirpositionsareupdatedbyartificial beecolonyalgorithm.
Bees sequentiallyreducetoreachapredeterminednumberofthemgroundedintheevaluationvalue
and artificial beecolonyalgorithmcontinuesuntiltheterminationconditionismet.Inordertoshowthe
effectivenessoftheproposedalgorithm,weexaminethebestvaluebyusingtestfunctionscomparedto
existingalgorithms.Furthermoretheinfluence ofbestvalueontheinitialnumberofbeesforour
algorithm isdiscussed.
