HK >> Preventive maintenance is different from Calibration.
HK >> Calibration let you know if the temperature that you measure is equal to actual temperature. while preventive maintenance only tell you if you can achieve this temperature.
1. SSCI-T : Yes, we accepted with you but our preventive maintenance can check measure and actual temperature as profile too.
HK >> Fortunately, you are using same method of measurement (TC wire) for both PM and calibration.
2. SSCI-T : Yes , but calibration check 2 temperature levels ; over-lower temperature profile and preventive maintenance will check continuous temperature* per profile.
* Our Std. Device capture data (temperature) every a minute as profile temperature ,see detail as attached file , So smooth slope can represent data that interval is ok. See attached file for example data for latest PM. (3 Sep'15)
Example from your new attachment:
Why the calibration standard Tolerance is +/-3 C but PM tolerance is +/-5C?
3. SSCI-T : Because calibration we use std. device attached with thermocouple of chamber like a same point ,so temperature should be same. Preventive Maintenance we use 1 channel of std. device attached with thermocouple(TC)of chamber and 9 channels put difference points in chamber, This reason we have to set tolerance Preventive Maintenance(+ 5) more than Calibration ( +3) and customer spec is allowed us to set tolerance +/- 5 C .
This page showing the different between ACTUAL vs. measure temperature for the -20 C and +70 C?
4. SSCI-T : This page showing continuous temperature from -20 to + 70 C.
I agree that this 3 months PM could help you reduce the risk of wrong temperature, provide that is the only Thermo-cycle range you use.
What if you are new Thermo cycle range request from other customer? Example -10 C ~ + 60 C
How do you ensure the temperature delta for different range is still acceptable if the calibration didn't have sample to cover the range evenly?
SSCI-T : Current preventive maintenance ( -20 to 70 C ) can cover this.
