I did an investigation on the cause of the problem starting to check the sample of our production run.
To my surprise, the sample we have in QA shows the proper bottom X fabric (please see the pictures attached to this e-mail).
Based on the pictures you’ve send us we can clearly see that the fabric in your slab is different from what it should be and from our sample.
I have checked the detailed order information on this run to make sure the right fabric was used for the complete run.
The total run length was 1100m’s and 3 rolls of C124MAX bottom-fabric were used for this order. Seeing the pictures and based on the order information, I am pretty sure that part of the fabric was used upside down in production.
Since this was not noticed by taking test pieces for the QA department, and since it is not visible in our QA sample I am pretty sure this happened to 1 of the 3 rolls of fabric used in the order, and it stayed unnoticed during the inspection in production being the middle one in this long run.
I would kindly ask you to check your stock (and belts at the customer) because I am sure only a part of the slabs we’ve send you will have this problem.
Of course this is a very unfortunate human error, and as ABMU we apologize for this mistake we made, but at least we found the cause to make it explainable.
Let Marc know on how many material was delivered incorrect so we can act quickly on final settlement/replacement.
If you have any more questions please let me know.
