Results show differences in the use of packaging materials across countries. In the separate countries the proportion of products launched from each category is different. As each category has some typical packaging materials, this implies that materials used in each country can differ. Primary colour of the package is another characteristic of organic products that is different across countries. In Switzerland the most prominent primary colour is green, not white as in all other countries. This suggests that Swiss products are distinctive in their use of primary colours. They also differ in position of their product name on the package. Only in Switzerland the product name is mostly on the left, from a horizontal perspective, while in every other country it is most commonly in the middle. Another characteristic, which is diverse across counties, is the colour of the product name. On Austrian and Swiss products the name is typically white, in Denmark it is black, and in Sweden it is white and black equally often.
