Over the past decade, development of computer-aided graphics in the field of appliedgraphics is rapid, and the graphics system which is established based on the traditional ruler gauge conditions has also changed dramatically. Therefore, the author reviewed the current situation, following the pulse of the information times, on the premise of practice and application,making bold adjustment to the traditionaldesign graphics teaching of environmental art design major, introducing intelligent 3D modeling technologyin the teaching process,making up for the defect of traditional graphics teaching space expression, and accordingly increase student computer graphics link, in order to construct the teaching system of design graphicswhich is fit to the information times.
Traditional graphics teaching content generally includes several chapters such as basic knowledge of graphics, geometrical construction, projection of point, line and plane, three views, axonometric drawing, perspective, shadow, graphics specification and so on. The teaching content which involves the conversion of 2D to3D such as projection concept, three views and perspective, as well as the integration of teaching and the market has always been the focus and difficulty of teaching.In view of the limitations of past teaching technology and teaching conditions, the above problems have been unsolved.Over the past decade, development of computer-aided graphics in the field of appliedgraphics is rapid, and the graphics system which is established based on the traditional ruler gauge conditions has also changed dramatically. The author found that with the aid of computer-aided graphics, introducing intelligent 3D modeling technologyin the teaching process can make up for the defect of traditional graphics teaching space expression,and on the basis of this increasing the students' computer graphics link correspondingly can build a platform of teaching and market, and accelerate the transformation of the students' theory study to the practical application.
It is essential to establish learning goals for the students who are in the information times of knowledge explosion how to gain from the vast ocean of knowledge in a limited time. Primary task of environmental art design major is delimiting design research scope, secondly discussing the specific research object of graduates after taking up an occupation, further narrowing the range of environmental art design research object. After determining the research scope of environmental art design, first step is to preliminary discuss the unique expression language of environmental art design and contrast general procedures and steps of design in actual projects, further clarifying the specific content of the design graphics, thus achieving overviewing the global and targeted, obtaining more knowledge and skill in a limited time
Therefore, the sequence of the teaching can be: introductionė theoryė practiceėexpansion. First step is introduction and definition. Secondly,the basic knowledge, projection principle and perspective principle of graphics are lectured respectively,with the new vivid exercises and a large number of repeated graphics training with ruler and compass, so that students can acquire the ability to transform 2D drawings into 3D space quickly and master the expression ability of space design. Thirdly, let students start from copying drawing the actual project construction drawings by means of ruler and compass or computer software, cognizing and mastering common design icons, symbols, and specification of the design graphics in the process of manual copy drawing and software operating, in order to gain the ability of preliminary reading drawings and graphics.Finally, through appreciating good drawingsof national and international,strengthen students’stretch and expression ability of drawings in the scheme design stage.The following diagrams (figure 1, figure 2) are three views courseware which is drawn by using modeling software SketchUp.
