The above issues need to be addressed in order to promote the user's feeling of confidence, not only in the integrity of the information but also that sufficient has been retrieved for the user's purposes. A great deal of material may be viewed via the World Wide Web but compared with the established publication media, there is no system of peer review in place to attempt to ensure the trustworthiness of the information. In certain situations, such as medical and other emergencies, conventional measures of recall and relevance are not appropriate because decisions are time dependent and the issue is not whether all the information has been retrieved but whether the user is confident that enough information has been retrieved in order to make the
decision.
