Total phenolic and total flavonoid concentrations could be influenced by geographical origin, cultivar, harvesting, storage time and drying (Babbar, Oberoi, Uppal, & Patil, 2011). In addition, Naczk and Shahidi(2006) mentioned that the recovery of polyphenols from plant materials is influenced by the solubility of the phenolic compounds in the solvent used for the extraction process. Furthermore, solvent polarity plays a key role in increasing phenolic solubility.
