In this paper, take a project ship as a sample, introduce a method based on Simulink for developing a real-time simulation system. After verifying a real-time communication, visual-refresh rate of visual system reaches 100 HZ, fully satisfy the requirement of visual real-time. This method avoids tedious work for manually changing codes, eliminates the process of compiling codes for communication and realtime simulation control. And also greatly facilitate twice development and integration for system, shorten the process of developing real-time simulation system.
