Edible film-forming dispersions were obtained by dispersion
of MC (1.44 g) in 75 mL of distilled water-ethyl
alcohol mixture (2/1, v/v) at 75 C for 10 min, and dispersion
and gelatinization of corn starch (3.19 g) in
75 mL of water at 95 C for 30 min. Gelatinized starch
was homogenized at 4000 rpm for 1 min (Polytron PT
3000, Kinematica AG).
