The closest four-coordinated PdII examples in
the literature, to the current complex are Pd(dipic)(oxa)]H2O and
(pipzH2)[Pd(dipic)2]2H2O complexes where pipzH2 = piperazine
and oxa = oxazole. Piperazine, and oxazole have been the proton
acceptors of the corresponding proton transfer compounds used
for the preparation of the complexes. As is clear, in the former case
both dipic2 and oxa ligands have participated in the complexation
while in the latter, pipzH2 behaves as a counter ion
