Mold growth was inhibited in all peanuts packaged in a C02:N2 (65:35) gas mixture in film AS1 and AS11 at lower storage temperatures (Table 1).
However, barely visible to light mold growth was observed in all gas packaged peanuts in these films after 12-15 d at 25-30°C. Medium to extensive mycelial growth occurred in all gas packaged peanuts in film AS111 after 2-g d (Table 1).
