A cryostatic setup with liquid air as cryogen was used to set the
sample at the desired temperature between that of liquid air and
room temperature. The glass sample together with the bonded
transducer (nonak e stopcock grease which proved to be satisfactory
couplant) were placed in a suitable holder and placed inside
the cooled chamber. A thermocouple was placed in direct contact
with the sample in order for the temperature of the sample to be
measured
