I travel a lot less than I used to, and don't miss the cramped seats on planes and dodgy airport food. I do miss meeting new people, and hearing their perspective on life.
A bit of a people watcher, the human condition is fascinating, and people can be weird along the way. Life is messy, and I tend to think the journey is more important than the destination.
Originally from Scotland (yes I have a kilt or two in the wardrobe), am told by friends I still have a lilt in my accent that has been smoothed out by life in Germany, Italy, Sweden, the USA, and the far east. I would prefer to chat in English with new friends and relax, and swap stories about life, the universe, and everything.
I do write a bit for enjoyment, mainly short stories, but be assured I'm not looking for new material from you (grin). My imagination already has a backlog of ideas to work on for the next few years.
Soo, I've been on the site for a wee while, and want to add a couple of hints.
- This isn't Facebook, sending friendship links without an email introduction saying "Hello" seems a bit strange to me.
- I am in a settled relationship, and am very comfortable making friends this way without feeling threatened, or feeling this puts my home life at risk. And here I thought the hint was in the website's title. C'est La Vie.
We are all different, and I enjoy exploring those differences and world views.
