HOW IT WORKS
When you buy a NetJets Share™, you own an interest in a specific serial-numbered aircraft from the NetJets fleet. A NetJets Share costs you a fraction of the price of owning a whole aircraft, provides you with greater flexibility than owning a single aircraft and you don’t have to worry about managing it. With as little as four to six hours’ notice, your jet or an identical one from the NetJets fleet, will be ready and waiting for you.1
A NetJets Share™ is ideal for anyone who flies 50 or more hours per year and wants the advantages of owning an asset.
FRACTIONAL JET OWNERSHIP
Enjoy all the advantages of whole aircraft ownership and more – without the management responsibilities.
Customization
Share sizes start at 50 annual flight hours and increase in 25-hour increments. Simply choose the aircraft type(s) and share size(s) that are best for you.
Access an entire fleet
If your aircraft type doesn’t suit you for a particular trip, you may request an exchange to another aircraft type in the NetJets fleet to better satisfy your specific trip requirements. Or if you’re traveling within Europe, you can take advantage of the inter-program exchange with NetJets Europe.3
Travel on your own termsEnjoy guaranteed aircraft availability with as little as four to six hours’ notice depending on aircraft typeFly on your scheduleChoose from many more airports than commercial carriers
Payment structure
Fractional jet ownership is similar to full aircraft ownership from a tax and legal standpoint, so purchasing a NetJets Share offers you all the financial benefits of a capital equipment acquisition. Your costs are predictable and include the following:
One-time acquisition fee – based upon share size and aircraft type.Monthly management fee – covers indirect operating costs such as pilot salaries, training, hangar use, liability insurance, and Owner Services support.Occupied hourly fee – covers direct operating costs such as maintenance, landing fees, and standard fuel. You are billed as you fly and only for occupied flight hours – wheels up to wheels down – plus six minutes of taxi time at the beginning and end of each flight.Other fees – include hourly fuel fee, fuel tax surcharge, Federal Excise Tax (if applicable), international fees (as applicable), and ground transportation, if requested
NETJETS DIFFERENCES
NetJets sets the standard in luxury private and business aviation. Here are three examples.
Highest flight safety standards
The safety of our Owners and their guests is paramount and the foundation for everything we do. In fact, NetJets sets the standard for the industry. For instance, most recently in March, 2013 NetJets announced obtaining Level IV of the FAA's Safety Management System (SMS) pilot program. NetJets is the first and only fractional private jet operator and fixed wing Part 135 operator to achieve this level of flight safety certification. NetJets also has the most stringent maintenance and operational procedures. We perform exhaustive security checks before every flight. And we buy only the best jets equipped with the most advanced safety equipment.
Unmatched Industry Experience
NetJets manages over 300,000 flights annually to more than 170 countries. Not only did we invent the fractional private jet ownership industry, but also we’ve flown significantly more hours than all other private aviation companies combined.
A Berkshire Hathaway company
NetJets is a wholly-owned subsidiary of Berkshire Hathaway. This financial backing allows us to spend whatever it takes to offer you the safest, most secure private jet service and provides you with additional confidence in the security of your investment.
