1.guide and inform the relatives about the current clinical status of the patient and what is being done for his or her improvement,looking for being both objective and careful about the way this information is provided
2.bring the relatives to a separate room when giving important information in order to pressrve their paivacy
3.pay attention to the reaction of the family members as regards their loss
4.encourage the expression of feelings and fears between family members
5.prepare the next of kin to the patient is physical and behavioral changes
6.consider family is hope as being a natural copying process(but do not encourage false hope)
7.stimulate the relatives to come alone to the patient during the visiting time (talking to and touching the patient)
8.recognize the importance of spiritual needs in relatives and support these if necessary
9.encourage strategies used by the family to cope with the situation and decrease stress and support their decision making
