Another example of digital libraries or collections
that have incorporated CBIR technology is the National
Science Foundation's International Digital Library Project
(www.memorynet.org), a project that is composed of
several image collections. The information retrieval system
for these collections includes both a traditional
text-based search engine and a CBIR system called
SIMPLIcity (Semantics-sensitive Integrated Matching for
Picture Libraries) developed by Wang et al. (2001) of
Pennsylvania State University.
