It is rare to write a poem composed entirely of monometer; usually the line of this length is used as a tail line, refrain or as an accent line.
For Example:

By a chance bond together,
Dangling this way and that, their links
Were made so loose and wide,
MeTHINKS,
For milder weather.
~ I Am a Parcel of Vain Strivings. by Thoreau.
