In the processing of tapioca starch, cassava root, water,
and energy are important resources, while the generation of
wastewater and solid waste are of great concern in terms of environmental
performance. As shown in Fig. 1, the volume of water
required in cassava root washing and fiber separation is made up to
70% of the total water consumption. Types of the processing machines
