Manchester United and Manchester City landed two of the biggest managers in the game this summer. Jose Mourinho and Pep Guardiola will resume their battle in the Premier League and ESPN FC is keeping a close eye on them.
Our correspondents Arindam Rej (United) and Jonathan Smith (City) bring us the latest weekly look at what both men have been saying.
Weekend match expectations
JS: It's difficult to see how Swansea can stop Manchester City from making it a perfect 10 out of 10 this weekend. Swans boss Francesco Guidolin is under pressure and potentially needs a result to save his job but his side were comfortably beaten by City in the EFL Cup in midweek as Guardiola made nine changes from last weekend. With the likes of Kevin De Bruyne, Sergio Aguero, Ilkay Gundogan and Claudio Bravo set to return this Saturday, it looks all-set to be a straightforward encounter for the visitors.
AR: Manchester United have suffered back-to-back league defeats, against rivals Manchester City and then Watford, but they should be expected to defeat champions Leicester. United beat Claudio Ranieri's men 2-1 in the Community Shield back in August and the question is how they handle the pressure of this game after their recent difficult run. They were nervy in their league defeats and manager Mourinho has been showing the strain by resorting to some tetchy talk in response, sarcastically calling critics "Einsteins."
Best news conference quote
JS: Guardiola did not hold a news conference as the City squad remained in South Wales for their double-header with Swansea.
AR: "With the Einsteins, it is fine -- they need money. They can't coach. They can't sit on benches. I am a good man, I do a lot of charity, so why not feed the Einsteins as well?
