Girls report on average a higher conflict score than boys
(Wilcoxon-test: Z =-3.11, p.01), but no significant
differences in parental conflict could be found between the
three family types (Kruksal-Wallis test: v2 = 0.63, p = .7).
The interquartile ranges show that there is much
more variation in parental conflict among the adolescents
in single parents families (IQR = 10 for boys, IQR = 9 for
girls) and step families (IQR = 7 for boys and girls) than
in two-parent families (IQR = 5 for boys and girls).
