Regarding the need for innovations related to guidelines and structure regarding both follow-up and transitional care, researchers of the studies included in this review indicated differing perspectives on its necessity. Some researchers encourage clinical nurses to develop more homogeneity in care via structured assessments for problems and need together with development of protocols and guidelines.Others suggest a need for more individualized solutions. Different tissue and/or different individuals might benefit from different solutions, homogeny and structured care as opposed to individual based care. Thus, several new practices or guidelines have been developed and discussed as ways of improving the quality of pediatric oncology care.Examples of these are as with oral mucositis (McGuire,Correa,Johnson, & Wienardts, 2016), constipation (Selwood, 2016),fever (Dobrasz et al. (2013), and fatigue(Chang,Mu,Jou,Wong,& Cheng, 2013).
