To extend the previous analyses, we tested whether
the scores for the use of MIS differ between CEOs with
a dominant clinical background and CEOs with a dominant
administrative background. We tested for differences
of means between paired characteristics of MIS
for the two subgroups of CEOs, those with a dominant
clinical background and those with a dominant administrative
background. The results of the paired-samples
mean t-test are depicted in Tables 5 and 6, which show
significant differences in the average scores for each of
the three MIS use variables. These results are largely
consistent with the previous correlation analysis.
