The story itself relies heavily on teen angst caused by an abusive family's distorted views on the norm. The main character who is 'very artistic,' sees to express herself the way she is intended to be but the family disagrees and the situation escalates towards the MC getting a forced lobotomy to become a 'normal girl.' This however does not work so the family proceeds to tie her up and domesticate her in ways that they see fit. As part of the dystopian tale, a sidestory ensues about the society becoming infected and an epidemic is imminent. Martial law is in effect and as days pass, each family member meets an end from a different status quo from the effects of the epidemic that occurs each passing day/month etc. . To strange comedic effect, despite being institutionalized in her own room, the MC is does not become sick/affected to the "CHANGE" like most of her family. This becomes an ultimate decent into madness and frustration for the 2 remaining family members... they found a breaking point in which makes the MC starts to become 'normal' At the end, the one surviving family member sets her free and the MC does not want that. To make things stranger, it would seem society has fallen since a couple of so-called firemen with a certain eccentric attitude broke into the home and started destroying the furniture. They mentioned that society is a zoo and we shall see if you are fit to become part of it. They saw to get the last remaining family restrained since he is experiencing delirium from all the changes. I guess this would imply that there is a freedom of expression in the world that this abusive family tried suppress.
The film ends with Aimy, the MC deciding to revert back to her normal artistic self :}
