A study by the National Institute for Educational Statistics found that,
“In mathematics, for example, between 1982 and 2004, the percentage of graduates who
completed a year of geometry increased from 47 to 76 percent, the percentage who
completed a semester or more of algebra II increased from 40 to 67 percent, and the
percentage who completed a semester or more of analysis/pre-calculus increased from 6
to 28 percent.”
